Welcome to the third season of “Leaning into EFT” where participants will get a front row seat observing live therapy sessions unfold with couples, individuals and families. Each episode will feature the work of a different supervisor or trainer, where the therapist will walk us through their session and note key choice points, interventions and share their process and reflections of the session. Purchase a season pass at any point or one episode at a time.
We aim to create a safe, welcoming, low-cost space to gather, engage, learn and bask in the richness of our gifted EFT community. We hope you can join us! Attendees may purchase a pass to the entire season (all episodes), or may purchase a single episode at a time. If selecting a single episode, please indicate which episode you intend to attend.
Some episodes will be recorded for later viewing.
S3E8 | “,” with Michael Barnett
FRIDAY, May 9, 10:00AM-12:00PM PST
Addiction and addictive processes commonly present in our work with couples, yet therapists often feel ill-equipped to address it clinically, perhaps even wondering if EFCT therapy is indicated or possible.
Michael Barnett, EFT Trainer from Los Angeles and Author of The Emotionally Focused Therapy Workbook for Addiction: How to Heal the Loneliness and Shame That Trigger Addictive Behaviors, will speak directly to how we tailor the EFT model to work with partners whose relationships has been impacted by the intersection of trauma and addiction. You will see how EFCT is not only possible, but transformative.
Michael Barnett trains therapists all over the world on Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and has devoted himself to making EFT accessible to folks struggling with addiction, as well as bringing EFT to Addiction Treatment centers.
