Welcome! I’m Dr. Silvina Irwin, a relationship and trauma recovery expert.

I am so glad you are here. I’m a clinical psychologist, speaker, educator, and ICEEFT Certified Trainer in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) based in the Los Angeles area. For the last 20 years, I have devoted myself to providing psychotherapy services to couples, individuals, and families. I also offer a range of workshops, trainings, and continuing education courses for mental health professionals, community groups, and individual clients. As a native Spanish speaker, I offer all services in both English and Spanish, and aspire to create an identity-affirming space for all.

Kintsugi is a centuries-old Japanese practice of repairing broken ceramics with gold lacquer. It’s also a beautiful metaphor for our own internal work. Learn more about the art of kintsugi and its history >

FOR INDIVIDUALS , COUPLES, AND FAMILIES

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Maybe you’re feeling lost, or stuck, or you’re searching for relief from pain. Perhaps you and your partner find yourselves at an impasse: distant and disconnected, escalated in conflict, struggling to feel sexually connected, or reeling from an injury in the relationship. Family members may find themselves distant from one another, stuck, or overwhelmed with painful dynamics taking over their relationships. No matter your situation, we’ll work together to find the best past forward.

FROM RECENT COURSE AND TRAINING PARTICIPANTS:

“I very much appreciated how there was diversity in ethnicity/race and sexual orientation among individuals in the example videos shared, as well as among volunteers for the training. I can tell that diversity was intentionally considered for this training and the training materials, and this is one of the few times I've had such a positive and attentive experience like this.”

"I can only say the whole [training] experience was positive, enjoyable and well done. I will definitely recommend Silvina Irwin to anyone seeking any level of training in EFT."

“This training was absolutely incredible. Silvina and Michael were knowledgable, engaging, attentive, and kind. The community created throughout the four days nourished my soul, especially as a therapist currently working from home, which can be very isolating.”
