Policies & Procedures
To be eligible to participate in the 4-Day Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and/or in the Advanced Core Skills series, participants must be licensed therapists or license-eligible psychotherapy interns or otherwise legally allowed to practice as mental health professionals. Students currently enrolled in a Masters or Doctoral Level program in mental health or social work are also eligible to participate in the 4-Day Externship.
To participate in Advanced Core Skills Training, you must:
have completed an ICEEFT approved 4-Day Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples
be willing to be videotaped for case consultation
Completing the registration and first payment of the Advanced Core Skills Training series enrolls the applicant in the full course series and reserves the space for attendance in all sessions of the training and is a declaration of intent to complete the course. This is important because space in the course is limited.
We have found over the years that Core Skills works best when all participants attend all sessions. However we know sometimes exceptions need to be made. We will do our best to work with you regarding special and unforeseen circumstances.
Certification is offered by ICEEFT based on completion of all requirements and demonstrated competence in the model. Completion of training does not guarantee competence or certification.
Refunds, less a $50 Administration Fee, will be issued for requests made on or before two weeks before the program is scheduled.
